Established in 1987 by predecessor companies, Luciano and Kent has deep roots here in the Lowcountry. Like the ancient oaks that called Charleston home long before we did, our firm has continued to grow.
After accepting his first client in 1987, Patrick Luciano never looked back. He gained valuable experience as he pursued his dream, the kind that is only born of hard work and determination. A strong partnership was forged when Peter Kent joined Pat in 2006, adding a fresh perspective and experience of his own.
Today, with a trusted reputation for serving both businesses and individuals, Luciano and Kent offers a wide range of services – each performed with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
Pat was certified in 1982 after graduating from the University of South Carolina. He grew up in New Jersey, but traded snowy winters for sandy beaches when he moved to Charleston in 1981. He gained experience in both public and private accounting firms before starting our firm in 1987. A husband and father of two grown daughters, Pat is also an active member of Christ Our King Church in Mount Pleasant.
Peter has been certified since 1985. He began his career in Miami, FL with the international accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand – which is now PricewaterhouseCoopers – and rose to a Senior Management position there. He has experience in running private businesses as well. Since 1995, Peter has lived in Mount Pleasant, where he raised his two daughters, now grown, and serves as an active member of Christ Our King Church.
While continuing her education, Jennifer started with the firm in an entry level position in early 2011. After obtaining a Bachelors of Accounting from The College of Charleston, she steadily progressed with the firm and is now working directly with our clients as a licensed CPA. Jennifer and her husband, a local realtor, are the proud parents of a German Shorthaired Pointer.
Stacey started with the firm in 1988 and has proven to be a valuable asset, progressing professionally to a key position in the firm and developing close relationships with our long-term clients. Stacey and her husband, a retired SCE&G employee, have four grown sons and a Boxer. They are active members of Riverbluff Church.
Chris joined our team in 2019. She brings a great deal of experience with her in both public and private accounting. Christine is an Enrolled Agent under the Department of Treasury. Chris moved to Charleston from Fayetteville, NC after her husband retired from the US Army. They have three grown children, three grandchildren, and a Labrador.
Melissa came aboard with our firm in 2019. She thrives in a fast-paced environment that is often seen in a public accounting firm like ours and has a lot of experience working with people in that setting. Melissa and her husband, a culinary arts teacher at Summerville High School, have a young son and daughter. Their dog, Minnie, completes their family.
